Free Admission Process (Customer)

Digital Ticket Purchase/Admission Flow

NOTE: Only events with Free Admission enabled in the EA will display here. For the purpose of this test, ONLY JULY EVENTS will accept Free Admission coupons. If the user selects a different event by accessing the ticket link from elsewhere, and the event they select is not on this list, THEY CANNOT APPLY A COUPON CODE.

FREE ADMISSION IS LIMITED TO 1 WEEKEND PASS PER SUBSCRIPTION PER EVENT.
IT DOES NOT APPLY TO WHOLE GROUPS OR FAMILIES.

ONLY PREP HOOPS+ AND PREP GIRLS HOOPS+ SUBSCRIBERS ARE ELIGIBLE.

If Free Admission is enabled for any event, in My Account, there is a new My Events tab where Prep [Brand]+ users will see a GREEN box with the following message:

Non-subscribers and standard subscribers will see an upgrade CTA and no coupon code.

The coupon only appears to Plus subscribers!

  • The user may click Get Tickets and open the admission flow with the coupon applied.
    • A customer may also copy their coupon code in case the coupon does not auto-apply, but as long as the user is logged in, it should auto-apply.

→ The 1 free Weekend Pass is auto-added to the customer's cart. Limit 1 per subscription. ←

  • If the the customer wishes to purchase additional tickets, they may do so here and follow the normal ticket purchase process.
  • The cart total should reflect the sum of additional purchased tickets only.

Checkout Page

On the checkout page, their are two scenarios:

  • Scenario 1: If the user is ONLY redeeming the free ticket, they will be taken to a new checkout page, as we are not collecting any card information for Stripe but still need contact information.
  • Scenario 2: Users will check out using the normal Stripe checkout flow.

In either scenario, they will receive the standard receipt showing their "payment."

On-Site Ticket Purchases (At Event)

Customers can complete the process through either the Digital Flow or by providing their coupon code to the checkin staff.

Website/Digital Purchase (through online ticket flow)

QR codes are located on flyers hung on entry doors.

Customers can sign up or upgrade their subscription or log into their account and follow the online process located at https://prep[brand].com/my-account/my-events/

Accepting Coupons on the POS Device

If the customer did not purchase ahead of time, the coupon code can be entered on the POS device using the same procedure.

  • Open the checkout link and select Collect Attendance Payment (like normal ticket purchases)
  • Ask the customer to provide the coupon code in their My Account (prephoops.com/my-account) → My Events tab → “Your admission code”
  • Input their admission code in the Coupon Code section of the POS screen and click Apply.
  • Add any additional passes for purchase and checkout as normal.
    • 🚩 If the customer is only redeeming the free ticket and not purchasing additional tickets, follow the normal checkout process. The Stripe Reader will not be used, but you will receive a confirmation message on your device:

🚩 Coupon Already Redeemed (Online or On-site)

There is a limit of 1 free pass per subscription. If the user has already redeemed the code, an error message will appear.

  • ONLINE PURCHASES: If the user has already redeemed their 1 free ticket for that event, an error message will show:

  • ON-SITE PURCHASES: A similar, clear error message will appear when entering the coupon code in the Collect Attendance Payment process. Explain to the customer that only one free ticket can be redeemed per event, and their ticket for this event has already been redeemed.

🚩 For customer issues/discrepancies, please direct them to follow normal customer issue protocol: submit a Zendesk ticket or have the Event Director fill out the Refund Request Form (not the customer).
