Office Hours, Compensation & Reviews
- Office Hours
- We don’t have an official office hours policy, but we do have a philosophy focused on flexibility and productivity.
- Compensation
- Compensation Philosophy.
- Pay Period. First to last day of the month.
- Pay Day. Final business day of the month.
- Payroll System. Payroll and end-of-year tax documents are processed through Paycor.
- Applicable Deductions.
- Standard State, Federal, and Local/Residence taxes.
- Additional deductions for benefits and 401K plan enrollments.
- Stop Payment Fee Responsibility.
- Ensure the accuracy of bank account information to avoid stop payment fees.
- Employee Reviews
- Quarterly Conversations. Conducted in January, April, July, and October.
- Annual Reviews. Occur once a year within the employee's hire month.
- Career Pathing. One week after the Annual Review, discuss compensation or title changes.
Employee Benefits
- Unlimited PTO and Safe & Sick Time Off
- Prep Network complies with all state laws for Sick and Safe Time Off.
- We trust you to manage your time responsibly and communicate plans ahead of time, communicating and getting approval from your Manager, and entering the dates on the OOO Calendar.
- Medical/Health
- New Hire Eligibility. Information is provided before the start date.
- Open Enrollment Period. November-December.
- Our benefit plan renews on 1/1.
- Qualifying Life Event. Enroll at any time during the year.
- Dependent Premium Reimbursement. Prep Network reimburses a portion of the medical and dental premiums for enrolled dependents.
- 401(k) Plan
- Eligibility. After three (3) months of full-time employment, you are eligible to start participating in our 401(k) plan at the start of the following quarter.
- Ex. Start date Feb 1, eligible date July 1.
- Safe Harbor Match. Prep Network matches 100% of employee contributions up to 3% and 50% of the next 2% of contributions.
- Prep Network may make additional 401(k) contributions at the company’s discretion.
- Eligibility. After three (3) months of full-time employment, you are eligible to start participating in our 401(k) plan at the start of the following quarter.
- Long Term Disability
- Provided through Guardian, fully paid by Prep Network
- Life and Accidental Death & Disbursement (AD&D)
- Provided through Guardian, fully paid by Prep Network.
- Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
- Optional insurance for employees to elect.
- Voluntary Short-Term Disability (STD)
- Optional insurance for employees to elect.
- Paid Leave PFML Insurance
- Applies to these states: IL, MA, MD, MI, NJ
- Workers Compensation
- Offered through The Accident Fund.
- Gear
- Prep Brand shop(s) are available to purchase gear from.
- Holidays
- The office is closed on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
- Additional holidays may be added annually.
- Office Outings
- Team-building events are planned throughout the year to build cohesion.
- Remote Employees
- Remote employees are expected to abide by the same policies as headquarters employees.

Employee Leave Policies
- Cobra
- Applies to employers with 20+ employees, and whose continuation coverage details are managed through your third-party administrator.
- Leave (FMLA) Policy
- We comply with state regulations for family and medical leave; entitlements and conditions may vary by state.
- Eligibility: 12 months of service and 1,250 hours worked.
- Prep Network expects all employees to continue meeting performance and conduct standards during their employment, but performance status does not affect eligibility for FMLA-protected leave.
- Entitlements: Up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for qualifying reasons (including birth/adoption, serious health condition, etc.).
- Written Notice: Notice requirements, certification, and reinstatement rights must be included.
- Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML/PDML)
- Starting January 1, 2026, Minnesota’s Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program is active
- Other active Paid Leave states include: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington.

Safety & Office Environment
- General Duty Clause
- Prep Network is committed to providing each employee with a workplace that is free from recognized hazards that could cause death or serious physical harm.
- State-Mandated Employee Training Requirements
- Office Emergency Protocol
- In the event of an emergency, follow the protocols below:
- Fire. Exit through marked doors.
- There are fire extinguishers near all doors.
- Tornado. Shelter in the restrooms.
- Accident/Health Issue. Call 911 and follow First Aid protocols.
- First Aid Kits are located above the kitchen sink and in the warehouse for basic injuries.
